ah bliss

marking my success of passing my project yesterday.

YAY!

i did mostly nothing today except for waking up late, watching loads of videos, cooking after so long and took some pictures. :)

lemme start with them pictures..

as anyone who's been to guildford would know, one of the main landmarks of guildford would be the cathedral. its that massive church with a golden angel at the top. it is also right next to the university, so near infact that the university's annual convocation/ graduation is held there.

yep. students of surrey graduate in a church.

oooooohhhhhh...

when set to long exposure.. the cathedral suddenly glows .... but overexposed. 

yes yes slightly better.

i didnt notice the doors at first.. but i do like the details on them.. 

angels i think..  

this was taken on the other side of the cathedral. if you look properly, theres a massive cross in front of the cathedral and a rooster which tells the wind direction.. :P

also.. earlier today i watched this very interesting documentary titled: "Science and Islam" which was hosted by Prof Jim Al-Khalili, whom i am proud to say is a professor here at the university of surrey. 

yay for surrey! ;p 

anyways, the documentary explains about how modern science started or progressed in Islam. i think it is a very good documentary which glued my butt down to my seat for a good 2 hours.

the documentary has 3 parts; part 1 and 2 has been air on BBC and can be viewed on BBC's Iplayer. links below ;-

yuna in london

so last saturday i took half a day off from work ..
went to london to watch Yuna perform.. yuna is a malaysian myspace artist.. she's from kuantan and sings awesome songs with her guitar.. though some have confess that she uses power chords for her songs.. that its her voice that sends shivers down our soul..

the quick getaway

so she says to me early friday morning;

'jason mraz is having his tour ..'

with a frown on her face.. thinking that she'll never be able to see him in such short notice.. a quick search online and before she could say anything. i bought tickets.

she smiled happily like a kid who just got ice cream.

off we went to warwick art centre to see jason mraz perform.. :)


he was enthusiastic, sang most of his new songs which i totally haven't heard. ;p but one thing for sure he is defineatly an entertainer.. enjoyed completely.


one thing i still dont get is how come most brits dont seem to move during concerts. they just stand there and nod their heads while drinking their beer. whilst in malaysia even itty-bitty pop artists concerts you'd see people jumping around. i'd say that malaysian crowd would win hands down in terms of artist support.


he even brought along a small orchestras which was dope ! :)

i was updating my mp3list when i found this song..

i dont really fancy piano tuned songs, cus well. i dunno, i just prefer guitar strums or plucking when it comes to melody of songs. but then again, i might just be tone deaf and i'm just rambling nonsense. :D




this song really reminds me a lot of my old relationships, the youthful sins which we ignorantly pursued. then nothing mattered as long as we were together. late night outings when we'd only go back when the parents call. the daily arguments with parents about the rocket high phone bills and excessive money spending on outings and gifts.

armageddon could come and yet i'd feel secure as long as i was with er.. (whoever i was wit then). those pretentious no meaning 'i love you's ' .. i didnt know squat about love then i tell ya.

i reckon i still dont.

lomography

when i went back to malaysia, a friend from sydney gave me a lomo camera as a gift..

after a while, i asked her whats the difference between a normal cam and a lomocam. she couldnt give me an answer.. so i snapped away and it turned out pretty kewl. though im abit saddened by the fact that i digital printed the film, so the bloke down at the photography shop must of edited the picture..

making it less lomo!!!!!

anyways, i found this on youtube, i think it gave a clear cut idea of what lomo is..

theres 7 parts though, and it totals to almost an hour .. nyhahaha die bandwidth die ! :P
