so in good faith of a good time, my mates and i planned to go to the club yesterday. mind u, i havent actually been in there yet.. been busy wit tonnes of stuff. ;p

then .. yadayada yada..

finished my exams at 6.30.. got back to my floor.. had some quick food.. bathed.. said goodbye to a few flatmates who's going back.. pfft. then got ready .. :)

said on the ticket, the party starts at 9pm. but as it is pretty much the same culture here and in msia.. people dont really come at 9pm. here they get pissed/wasted first then come for the party. so yea, i went to my mates place and we were waiting for a few others.. apparently they were at the nearby house getting drunk.

so we went there to see em, unwillingly.. had to join em in playing spin the bottle .. with only me and another mate sober. rest of em were pretty pissed/wasted. i stood there like 5 minutes, suddenly.. the bottle pointed to me..

oh crap.

then it pointed to another girl.

shite.

so not wanting to be a spoiled sport, i leaned over.. then i found out what a snogg was. fuckin hell, her tongue was all over the place. tasted of cake as well.. bleak!

so after much spinning.. and a couple more snogging. euck!

we finally left for the club..

reaching there.. blimey, i've never seen a que like that before. it was really long ! it was like when tiesto was in msia at zouk or sumthing. shit long yea !

que'd and made friends wit the rest of the people who were queing as well.

when we stepped in, it was sorta like a mixed feelings. cus the club venue, is also used as a market on thursdays. haha. so it felt like were going to buy some cabbages or sumthing with flickering lights and loud music.

the dance floor was pretty packed when we got there.. so we decided to roam about.. and look for a spot with good fongshui.. haha.

in the end, we still ended up at the dancefloor. ;p

dj for the night was scott mills a radio dj for bbc 1. i looked him up, but i couldnt really find what type of genre he spins. most of the article was about him being working for bbc 1 and him being gay.

why? cus they're already pissed drunk when they got there. so obviously they wouldnt know shit whats going on the dancefloor. gah.

i got a bit irritated cus the dancefloor was really packed, with no room to move.. i ended up like 'standing, bobbing my head and turning left and right' dance. it got worst when the dj randomly changes the genre of the tracks. which totally fucks the whole tempo of everyone and literally causes a wave of 'elbow hitting head' motion.

oh and drunk white girls often just simply barge into the dancefloor. their like scrumming everyone in their way. i got thrown around for abit couple o times. stupid chubby cheese. gah.

but yea, the whole scene is totally different from msia.

dancing with random girls is more opened here. they let u join in the fun.. :)

well some of em. dont get dissapointed if u come to uk and it didnt work.

all in all a good load of fun, of mixing it out with em whiteys. a different scene with different styles. first time im hearing gnarlsbarkey's crazy being mixed with some gay disco tune.

2006 recap

finished another paper today..

sorta frustrated cus i know i could've aced it if i had an extra day or two before the exams and not stupid leadership course.

pfft.. but oh well..

anyways, got some spare time here..

realized that its already the end of 2006. blimey this year has got to be the fastest year evah.


cus it really just felt like yesterday i was celebrating new years...

oh well.. on the whole, this year was less as eventful as last year. i achieved less things this year, but non the less it was still significant...

here are a few bits of 2006.. mind you that my hard disc crashed in april, so i've only got stuff from june onwards...

february-june :

working as an event manager.. was really something. opened up my eyes on a whole lotta things abt real life.. how difficult it is to actually earn money and appreciating the people around you. cus when u start work, the people you work with become your family. you see em everyday 9-5.. well okay for me it was more like 6am - 10pm. but the experience was .. tremendous. it gave everything a new whole prespective which i believe everyone will experience it sooner or later when they start working life. its so much different from uni life. meeting datelines werent just about marks anymore, they now cost money!



june-july:

after you start work, do you then realize how little you actually see your friends and family. its quite an effort to call up people just to have that 5 minute chat when you start work.. slowly everyone drifts apart doing their own thing..

but that extra effort just to call out a few old friends was definitely worth while.


looking back, i'd honestly say that i've matured more towards the end of my teenage years. high school was a bore. but hey, it was fun when it lasted. hence how can u forget your ol highschool classmates.. whilst some have gone far far away and have hot been heard again since.. those who are still around.. ringing em up just for shits and giggles are shit loads of fun!


whilst the kiasu stay kiasu.. and compare salaries.. the lowlives however.. play dota day and night and complain of being bored.. esp this dude here.. HAHAHAHAHA

hahaha.. kidding kidding.. anyways, then calling ol friends whom have run away to other countries ..


august:

i guess what could be called the most significant event of my life would be my graduation .. cus for the first time evah that i actually achieved something. my spm was shit, this one however was hard work andd loads of sacrifices..

when i first started college u see, i made a promise to my mom.. that i'd try my best to achieve more than 3.5/4 and get into the deans list. though the first 2 semesters didnt go so well.. i finally managed to keep my promise during my last semester.. it was a huge moment for me to actually say to her, 'all this is because of you mom!, and i kept my word..' :)

all that couldnt of happen without the help of good friends..

it sort of felt like flying.. well in a short flight kinda way.. haha.

nearing september/september:
to be honest, it didnt actually dawned on me that i was going to be studying abroad till it was really near my departure date. i had to leave behind close friends.. old friends..

going to weird events together and having helluva time..

i didnt know sperm could grow that big ! hahaha.. kidding.. FHM Sexiest Women(sausage fest) party.
bongo family. party hard !

starting a new life abroad.. making new friends anndd starting a new family .. routine and what not.. was hard.. but hey.. its all worth while. lifes about challenges.. and hey.. being amongst strangers is a challenge.. let alone a strange country.. like the uk where u can find a wholee load of weird people.

october:

ironically, i found out that quite anumber of my school friends from like waaay back .. are in ukay as well.. so meeting them again and slowly regaining their friendship was good.. its not until you alone do you realize how important it is to have friendss. esp those boring nights..

first time around celebrating raya abroad.. its soo different. its soo minor and less festive, but hey i tried to make the best outta it.. hell i even cooked nasi beryani for like 100 people.. thats something innit? haha.
november- december:
i've never studied so hard in my whole life.. and yet.. things arent exactly going how i'd like it to be.. im still not used to the system.. sigh.. but hey.. imma keep on fighting.. for years to come!

will be sleeping late tonight...

i've got 6 days left before my exam starts.

i've covered one subject so far. hopefully covering the 2nd one tomorrow.

realized that i cant study in groups. cus i tend to yap or bug others, what works for me is to study in maybe 2's or 3's at most. but most of the time i have to study myself.

like yesterday.

i was quite amazed how much i could actually get into my head if i really concentrated.

managed to do most of the maths question without any really huge prob. but i still need more practice.

irony was, 2 days ago i couldnt do half of what i did yesterday's math. haha.

i really hope i can do this exam well.

never been so scared before. SPM wasnt even this scary i tell ya.

guess i forgot how much i could understand if i really concentrated. heh heh. like last year, when a friend of mine gave me a crash course in micro processors.

i was the only one to get a distinction that semester for that subject. - unofficially.

then lecturers had to be a total whore and crossmarked my assignment and i got a merit only. what a bitch.
