doobeedoo.. i just got back from london..
well okay, i lied. i got back like few hours ago then i had to unpack and clean .. so yea. ;p
gotten all the utensils my sister left me, thats the main purpose of me going to london anyways for the weekend. didnt go shopping or anything. cus from the browsing i did, my gosh, i'd be broke in 2 secs if i did.. there wasnt any sale on .. so yea. winter sale it is !
in a day, it'll be a week since i've arrived here from KL..
monday
so far, things have been fine and dandy, cept lectures which goes on and on.. i already feel the need to refresh myself on lotsa things since lecture started. the first day was just plain chaotic, since registration was suppose to be on the 1st or sumthing, which i didnt attend obviously cus i only arrived on the 3rd .. it took me the whole morning to get registration sorted..
straight away after getting my welcome pack, it was straight to lectures.. gila wei ! it took a bit to get used to the english accent, since back home while getting my diploma it was all malay lecturers. all their 'wots' , 'leynearr' and 'labourotorie' .. but after awhile it was fine.
thank heavens for watching epl half time commentary - though half of what their saying is bollocks. but oy, did it help alot.
tuesday
was even worst, i had to do my lab which is 6 hours in total, 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. i didnt have a clue wat was goin on, thus no preparations wat so ever. worst part was being assesed for it. lab work here is so much different from what i used to do, here u need to do like 10 pages of preparation, 5 pages of expected results and finally 5 pages of actual results.
how about that? crazy ey?
and i didnt do shite. cept get 1 part of the experiments results .. which i totally didnt write any lengthy comments like what the others did. surely low marks .. aieeeyy..
wednesday
i was free in the afternoon. thus a very last minute planning ended me up in guildford town itself. i didnt bring my camera .. sorry.
the town's not that bad.. since its said that surrey is kinda the posh province of london.. yep all those fancy scmancy londoneer folks live here or sumthing. so lucky enough, guildford has basicaly almost all the things i normally look in london.. theres fcuk, topshop, river island, saintsbury, tesco, jjb sports, boots and a whole lot more. so for a town thats about 20 minutes walk away. its pretty darn good. :)
thursday
was a long ass day with classes ending at 5pm. so didnt do much that day cept, planning for london visit..
friday
left for london at 11am, its been quite abit since last year so my sense of direction in london was kinda scratchy.. the lads wanted to visit MARA office which was in the same building as the Malaysian Hall. haha. coincidentally, first time in london itself and i've already been inside malaysian hall. ;p had friday prayers there..
by the time the lads finished with their MARA issue's. it was already late, we got to oxford street at 4.30pm and walked as much as we could .. didnt get anything, like i said nothing was on sale. everything was waaay expensive compared to the time i got here last summer.
5.30pm i left to meet usop to get my kitchen utensils which my sister left me.
he lives at manor house station which is right after arsenal station.. ;)
by the time i got there, he was still in london.. so while i waited for his call, i walked around finsbury park. which is soooo huge! i'm soo loving the green grass and cold winds .. it can really clear ur head when ur feeling stressed.
usop came at about 6.40 ish.. went up to his place and unwinded abit with some tele.. later went to meet some of the other malaysians who are studying in london.. dozed off at 1 ish.. knackered i tell ya.
saturday
since manor house is just a station away from arsenal station, i asked usop how far was it from his place to arsenal's new emirates stadium.. he said it was just about 20 minutes walk.. then he mentioned that arsenal had a store nearby as well.. he then asked me if i was interested in getting anything.. which i quickly jumped and said yea !
so off we trotted to the nearby bus stop, since we're lazy farts. then once on the bus, i looked out and was totally amazed to see the number of people wearing red and white arsenal jerseys. by the time i reached the arsenal store, it was just red and white. no other colors.
being first timers, i didnt have much money .. i thought some of the stuff would be cheap, sadly it wasnt. the jackets were priced at 40 - 60 quids which was waaay over my budget. so i continued browsing .. then i found ..

weeeee.. i got grass yo! haha. and its highbury grass.. and they cost only.. a pound ! :)
anyways. busy now. lates.
